The 1110110110101111s were very similar to Gigerdians at first, although they did have their differences they still had more similarities than most species.

The 1110110110101111s, or rather Vefiis at that time, were always highly interested in technology as well as improving themselves both physically and mentally. They were much less emotional than like Gigerdians, but did have emotions to some extent. It was something they more often considered a problem.

They advanced their society and their technology very efficiently and faster than any other Commonwealth founder species. They had unusually high intelligence and had little of aggressiveness, both which helped them to improve their species. While it took several hundreds of thousands of years for the other species to establish their first cities the Vefiis did that in less than a 100 000 years.

The Vefiis had little interest in moving away from the areas they evolved in, but rather wanted to develop their technology. Due to their high concentration in only one area of their world there was a problem with obtaining enough food for their species so the necessary technology was researched to produce food faster and more efficiently.

They were able to solve their problems through technology, but wanted to also improve themselves with the aid of technology. Unfortunately it was still too less advanced at that time. Still their society grew and at that time still possessed a good population growth, allowing their people to expand around the world in the following centuries.

The First Augmentations

Finally they invented their first bio-mechanical augmentations. They were crude and at first proved to be more of a problem than of actual use, but later on the tech improved and they were installed on every Vefii.

More augmentations were invented and installed and more advanced computers were built. They did start to have the problem of inventing new tech too fast, with the old ones falling back far too soon. Still, it was a necessary evil as the sooner new technology was invented the better.

Over the years they started making themselves more machines all the time, with nano-augmentations soon being added too. Finally they became cyborgs, with about 60% machine and 40% organic. It was a point were they considered themselves relatively "perfect". A collective was constructed to make their species more efficient. Some voiced their concerns that their species was too much about efficiency, but it fell on deaf ears and soon they were added to the collective too, whether they liked it or not. It was a huge experience for them and took years to get used to. They abandoned almost all of their emotions at this stage too, but unlike Lihters they do feel. The 1110110110101111 Collective was founded at this point too.

Reproduction was also starting to become problematic, cloning was occasionally practiced, but they preferred new minds rather than reusing old ones. Breeding facilities were built where new Vefiis, or 1110110110101111s nowadays, were bred and raised. Keeping a steady increase in population.

Space Expansion

Space was also within their reach now and it was viewed as an excellent place to learn new things. The necessary technology was invented in record time and their now infinite lives allowed them to colonize nearby systems without the use of any kind of sleeper ships.

Thanks to their collective they were able to work anywhere in the galaxy and still able to share their ideas and thoughts. The 1110110110101111s weren't interested in expansion much, but rather wanted to explore the galaxy and learn its secrets.

Unfortunate for them the first race they came across was very hostile. Although the Opiros were much older species they had less advanced technology than the 1110110110101111s. On the first contact the Opiros attacked and destroyed the 1110110110101111 scout ship. Due to their collective they knew exactly what was the problem, something the Opiros didn't expect. The Opiros were hoping for another small explorer force, but were rather greeted by an entire battle fleet. Driving the Opiros out of the region, but also causing a war between the two species.

The 1110110110101111s considered the war a huge waste of time and resources and wanted to end it fast with minimal losses. However, due to no experience in fighting it was a problematic thing to them as they had absolutely no experience in such things, the only thing they could do was to rely on their technology and collective.

The war turned out to rage for several years with neither side gaining the upper hand. Finally the 1110110110101111s decided to make a bold attack, to strike directly to the Opiro homeworld. Surprisingly their tactic worked; they disabled the defenses in the region and threatened to bombard the planet if the Opiros wouldn't halt their aggressive behavior. The Opiros were surprised by the actions of the 1110110110101111s and saw no choice, but to accept. However, noticing their weakness for compassion they considered to try again at some other point, should they obtain large enough forces as the 1110110110101111s possessed very advanced technology that could only be countered through greater numbers.

Probably fortunate for the 1110110110101111s they established connection to the Lihters only a few years after the war and established very good treaties with them thanks to their very similar nature. Together they were also far too powerful force to the Opiros.

Then they also received contact to the Humans, Q<RE-Ôs and V'As'Ta'Rs. Later also to the B²s.

After the V'As'Ta'R-Opiro conflict the Q<RE-Ôs suggested that a unified alliance would be formed between all the races in the region. 1110110110101111s viewed it as a good idea that would bring stability to the region as well as improved defenses against other potential threats. The Lihters shared the 1110110110101111s' views and supported the project. Together they managed to convince all other races except V'As'Ta'Rs and the alliance was formed.
