Hovercraft

A hovercraft is any vehicle capable of sustained levitation. Various hovercraft mechanisms vary radically, including engines that rely on the surface to provide lift, Magneto-Gravity Distortion (MGD) engines that rely on the atmosphere, and genuine anti-gravity drives that cancel the force of gravity altogether.

Personal transporters are a common hovercraft variety.
