Located some 114 million light-years away, IC 2163 is a Milky Way sized galaxy locked in a gravitational tug of war with the larger NGC 2207. It is estimated the encounter began about 40 million years ago.
NGC 2207 will eventually cannibalize this smaller galaxy.
