Located some 114 million light-years away, NGC 2207 is a galaxy locked in a gravitational tug of war with the smaller, Milky Way sized IC 2163. It is estimated the encounter began about 40 million years ago.
NGC 2207 will eventually cannibalize the smaller galaxy.
