IPAS Haakona

The IPAS Haakona was a cruiser belonging to the Interplanetary Alliance during the Beta Quadrant Conflict. The Haakona was an older destroyer manufactured in the Aero-Space Masa Yards shipyards on the orbit of Mars.

The Haakona was tricked by the GA forces to jump into a minefield after a fake emergency message was sent to as many IPA ships in the area as possible. Apparently the Gigerdi Alliance Military Intelligence had been able to hack into the communication frequencies of the IPA vessels, and was broadcasting the message in the hopes of fooling as many ships as possible into an ambush.

This particular tactic was widely critized after its employment during the conflict, but the GA Military did not comment on the employment of such a tactic much.
