Redout

Redout is a temporary physiological effect suffered by pilots of spacecraft without inertial dampers during high-G deceleration maneuvers. It is a loss of vision caused by blood rushing towards the front of the pilot's head, bursting capillaries and blood vessels in their eyeballs. This situation can be remedied by using artificial high-G resistant eye implants or with inertial damping fields.

The opposite of redout is whiteout.
