SMOY Corporation
The SMOY Corporation is one of the largest corporate entities in the Galaxy, a vast mega-conglomerate that operates primarily in the Delta Quadrant. Originally founded under the free market policies of the United Orcs, SMOYCorp. grew to such an enormous scale that even the later collectivist restructuring of society under the Hemmoian Federation could not diminish its power. As such it is considered something of an anomaly in the heavily controlled HFed economy, an "alternative monopoly" entity acting under a special state mandate.

History
The company was initially founded in the year 99 of the Second Age in an abandoned laboratory building. In 140 the company grew rapidly, purchasing several other companies.
Sub-divisions
The structure of SMOYCorp. is a hierarchic tree of various separate companies, each dedicated to a certain industry or service. They range in size from tiny single office departments to vast subsidiary operations that span entire star system.
The sub-divisions include:
- CompuTec, an information technology provider, software developer and hardware manufacture.
- CyberTec, bionic implant manufacturer.
- DBTec, formerly DBS Aerospace.
- FlameTec, only has one office on Aldaain, Industrial Sector 27.
- HyperTec, personal transporter manufacturer.
- ImplanTec, cranial implant manufacturer.
- InfoTec, a media service and news provider. Heavily regulated by the Collective.
- MedTec, a medical research & development division, pharmaceutics and biotechnology.
- PlaneTec, a relatively exotic department dedicated to the construction of artificial planets.
- RileTec, a former shipyard service that used the facilities of the Riletian Shipyards. The assets were later re-nationalized after the secession of the Republic of Rilet.
- SouvenirTec, a manufacturer of Hemmoian Federation memorabilia.
- TransTec, transport spacecraft manufacturer.
- TransporTec, heavy duty transporter manufacturer.
Facilities
The SMOYCorp headquarters are located on Aldaain, which also houses other notable SMOY facilities in its many industrial sectors, such as T84.
