HFed Citizen #: 84509100118477455

A Hemmoian born on Aldaain, Shok Teenik is primarily known as the last ambassador of the Hemmoian Federation to serve aboard the Peace Station. Later versions of xem also worked as the HFed ambassador to the Inter-Stellar Alliance at ISA Embassy 57 on Natas.

Early life

Shok 1 Teenik finished xyr initial growth cycle on Aldaain on the Hemmoian year 68 of the Third Age, a part of a cloning initiative aimed to populate the newly established Collective network. Xe was modified extensively at an early age, including a full replacement of xyr entire lower body with synthetic implants.

Prior to xyr diplomatic training, xe held several functions of various positions within the Collective. As Shok 4 Teenik, xe briefly worked as a Research Associate in a scientific research institute, eventually moving on to a function as a pilot second grade for inter-orbital spacecraft.

In this function, an explosive decompression accident killed xyr body in orbit as Shok 5 Teenik, but through the Collective xe was able to save xyr conciousness into the databanks of the Operator Station. A new body was eventually grown in a HiberChamber, where Shok 6 Teenik spent most of xyr life. Unable to use xyr body for the cellular generation period xe spent xyr time acting as a low-level Collective administrator, a position in which xe remained for several years.

Shok 24 Teenik

After the Ommir Deloot fiasco on the Peace Station, the HFed government was frantically looking for a new ambassador - one more responsive to any "suggestions" the powers that be might have. A special search program was initiated within the Collective, looking for a citizen of the Hemmoian Federation that would fit these requirements. Shok Teenik, a young cloned Hemmoian with no family or contacts outside the small network xe regulated, xyr mind heavily saturated with HFed ideology and propaganda after xyr years spent connected solely to the Collective, was found to be a prime candidate. Xe was soon invited to enroll into the Digital Diplomat Academy, a special virtual reality construct at the Hemmo Academy, designed to train new ambassadors in line with the official Council line.

Within the program, fed into xyr mind at a rate much higher than real time, Shok 24 Teenik emerged as the primus of xyr class. Having received the highest mark +10 in Diplomacy, with a secondary emphasis on Technology (+9), xe soon left the HiberChamber with a new function within the Collective - Ambassador of the Hemmoian Federation to the Peace Station.

According to xyr personal data file, Shok 24 had had 60 software updates to xyr cranial implant, was implanted with eight other bionic enhancements, and could interface with computer systems using three different communication protocols, including a 4-66 comms laser, an FL#84 type radio transceiver, and a D91 fiber-optic serial cable. Within the Collective, xe had a security level of A22 (the second highest clearance) and was authorized to act as a temporary Administrator of local Collective functions.

Despite xyr extensive diplomacy training, other ambassadors often found Shok 24 somewhat hard to work with. Not having exited xyr virtual reality chamber for years, xe occasionally had a hard time remembering how the real world worked. Xe also had a zealous belief in the superiority of the Collective and the coming Grand Unification and maintained a certain air of presumptuousness and open underestimation of other species. This was most evident in an episode between him and the Bacterian ambassador, in which xe challenged the Bacterian to a sword duel with xem. Xe presumed xe could defeat any sword-wielding opponent simply by downloading selected fencing routines from the Collective into xyr mind, but was quickly proven wrong.

Shok 36 Teenik

Despite the occasional trouble, the HFed government was pleased with Shok 24's performance. For an unknown reason, xe left the Station briefly and was copied several times by government orders, eventually returning to xyr duties as Shok 36 Teenik. It is not known what happened to the copied versions of xyr personality.

As Shok 36, Shok Teenik was the last of the Peace Station's Hemmoian ambassadors. As the Station was closed on its fifth year of operation, Teenik too left and returned to Aldaain. Xe was eventually reassigned to ambassadorial duties after the foundation of the Inter-Stellar Alliance, a loose union between the three major starpowers - the Gigerdi Alliance, the Bacterian Empire, and the Hemmoian Federation. Shok 36's assignment was to ISA Embassy 57, located on a remote Bacterian colony world called Natas somewhere in the Gamma Quadrant.

After the time spent on the Peace Station, Shok 36 initially regarded xyr new assignment on a dull backwater colony world with dislike. Now older and somewhat wiser, xe eventually found xyr place in the diplomatic staff, even befriending one of the Gigerdian diplomats. The two could often be found in the embassy's cafeteria, entertaining passers by with stories of the "good old times" and their exploits of interstellar political intrigue, with a fair helping of embellishment. The Gigerdian ambassador would also frequently remind people of the ways Hemmoians liked to "suck toes" and "fueled their implants by drinking blood", allegations which Teenik would vehemently deny in turn.
