Type II Incinerator Beam
The Type II Incinerator Beam is the standard energy sidearm in the Gigerdi Alliance Starfleet. All GA away teams have at least one Incinerator Beam pistol.
The power level of the beam can be adjusted on a scale of 1 to 15. Other major settings include specific modes for stunning, killing and vaporizing targets.
A Type II Incinerator Beam is lightweight and easily concealable, which makes it an ideal weapon for away teams and similar missions that do not require heavy firepower. GA boarding parties usually rely on something that packs a bigger punch.
The range of the Incinerator Beam is several kilometers while in narrow mode. There is also a special wide mode that can be used to take out several organic targets at once. The frequency of the beam can also be adjusted.
The power pack of the Incinerator Beam has been designed for long scout missions in mind, which means the batteries have a very high storage capacity and do not require constant recharging.
The weapon is also in use in the United Commonwealth of Planets.
