V3 Auto-Assault Craft

The V3 Auto-Assault Craft was a drone spacecraft capable of FTL jumps, used by the V3 Alliance for autonomous patrol and recon missions near Alliance worlds.

There were several variants of the craft in operation, typically equipped with powerful energy weapons and a Missile Launcher. Some Auto-Assault Craft were designed to latch on to starships with tractor beam projectors covering the craft's outer hull.

The UO I-4 Interceptor starfighter was developed in part to respond to the threat of these automated craft. Equipped with decoy projectors, they could momentarily fool the onboard AI to chase fake targets.
