History
Initially, the planet was settled by a colony ship of exiles from the Burning Sea organization, providing the foundations of the Burning Sea Republic, led by Cathonon. The settlements grew slowly due to the irradiated surroundings. The Cyralgar Firestorm of 2,XXXX further disrupted the colonization efforts. These setbacks only served to harden the colonists' determination and ideals of self-sufficiency, however.
The early economy of Cyralgar centered around the radioactives extraction, energy and manufacturing sectors.
Under the V3 Alliance
After the Republic joined the V3 Alliance, several powerful corporate entities settled on the world, intent on exploiting its resources to the fullest. Seeing the results of their hard work flown off-world caused some friction between the local populace, raised on ideas of self-determination, and the Alliance at large. Although strained, the partnership lasted.
After the V3 War
After the destruction of Xalan, the V3 Alliance homeworld, the Rend'Ukk system was thrown in disarray. Many were unhappy with the wartime conditions on Cyralgar, but others remained strict in their fanatic zeal. The United Orcs established an interim government on the world to reintegrate it with the Union, but it was met with some resistance.
In 2,00XX, the UO orbital space station Confluence was sabotaged by Burning Sea forces. An attempt was also made to take control of some of the command buildings in Omnipolis.
First Bacterian War
The sudden declaration of war from the Bacterians was a shock to everyone on Cyralgar. Without warning, a Bacterian cruiser appeared in orbit, annihilating orbital defenses and dropping a ground force in cities around the globe, including CCHimm. The survivors were unified in their resistance: divisions between UO loyalists and Burning Sea supporters were quickly forgotten.
