Gar Varin

Commander Gar Varin was the executive officer aboard the GFS Koff. During his duties on the ship he had to constantly keep an eye on the ship's Chief Engineer Mador Lobis and his human assistant Marillius Brett: the reason for the constant vigilance on his part was the engineering crew's apparent sloppiness at work along with outright laziness on their behalf.

He was also the first one to die in the accident that later on destroyed the entire vessel: apparently he died in an explosion that originated from the reactor compartment.
