GFS Koff

GFS Koff was an aging Oktoberfest Class Light Science Ship meant for deep-space exploration. These vessels were utilized back in the days when the Gigerdians first expanded into space under the flag of the Gigerdi Federation.

GFS Koff was assigned under the command of captain Devin Felth along with 8 other crewmembers: the mission of the ship was to explore the Delta and Gamma Quadrants of the Milky Way Galaxy. The ship initially departed for the mission shortly before the construction of the Peace Station began.

After exploring the various territories of the Delta Quadrant for two years, the ship was ordered to return to the Alpha Quadrant. During the Koff's voyage home, it visited the Peace Station during its' second year of operations and then continued back to Gigerdi Prime. However, the ship experienced a serious malfunction in its' engines while moving through an asteroid field, and was rendered almost completely unable to move. In the resulting explosion, captain Devin Felth and the ship's second-in-command, Gar Varin, were killed.

The remaining crew managed to send a distress signal to the Peace Station, where a rescue team was assembled. The crew of the vessel were saved in the nick of time, however the ship itself was destroyed by an incoming asteroid.
