Gigerdi Federation Fleet Marine Force

The Gigerdi Federation Fleet Marine Force (or GFFMF) was the second, more elite branch of the Gigerdi Federation Ground Operations Command (GFGOC), which was later on merged under a unified command with the Gigerdi Federation Aerospace Command (GFAC). The fleet marine force was also a branch of service with traditions ranging back to the pre-colonial era and thus bore the motto of "as far as space extends" as its' guiding principle.

The soldiers of the GFFMF served aboard GF starships, handling boarding operations and sometimes even security. They were considered much more of an elite force when compared to the regular ground forces, since the GFFMF often had the more high-profile missions where the most high-ranking enemy personnel were to be captured while boarding operations were undertaken. Needless to say, the GFFMF was also on the news alot, and recieved many honorary citations.
