KT7900X Household Assistant Robot
The KT7900X Household Assistant Robot was a service robot created for simple household duties. The robot was manufactured for only three years and the production seized shortly after the start of the Peace Station Project. The corporation responsible for the KT-model household robots was SXS Robotics. The concept behind this creation was to offer a cheap and efficient household duty droid - but unknown to the consumers - with the expense of its behaviour.
The 1,40cm tall droid could clean, cook, babysit your younglings and roast a juicy dinner inside the miniature oven located inside its torso. The AI protocol also insured that the robot could keep company to its master(s) and remain social towards the family of its owner. These robots would've probably been perfect, if not for the slowly developing glitches and bugs on the AI's behavioural protocols. The robot could become self-aware over time, and develop a fiercely loyal - and at the same time jealous emotional bond with its master. The social skills programmed inside the central computer of the robot also caused it to develop a curious addiction for oil used on its joints in case it didn't feel cared enough for. This oil addiction of the model closely mimicked the signs of alcoholism, and the lack of oil in case of severe depression would seriously hinder the work performance of the robot. Sometimes the robots became violent - and sad to say, there were a few deaths involved. A prime example of the KT model's furious behavior would have to be the case of Robo-Hobo - a misguided KT7900X model.
Most of the KT7900X-models were returned back to the factory after newer and better controllable models became available on the market. SXS Robotics also released a special "boot disk" which would have to inserted on the robot in order to shut it down in the case the owner couldn't persuade the robot to return to the factory on its own. Applying this boot disk to the cranium of the robot proved much easier said than done - especially after the robot had gained self-awareness and understood exactly what its soon-to-be-former masters wanted to do with it. Most of the KT-models were either dismantled or destroyed. SXS Robotics was also forced to close up shop after the numerous lawsuits were filed against it due to the dangerous behaviour of the KT-models.
