Robot 102-BC of the SXS Robotics model KT7900X Household Assistant Robot, also known as Robo-Hobo, is a prime example of how a dangerously misguided AI can do. The story of this particular robot is well-known especially in the Beta Quadrant Free Zone, where assistant robots of this type were widely used.

Household Assistant Robot 102-BC was bought by a certain Dagmar Cauda, a fairly well-known Droid breeder living in the Beta Quadrant Free Zone. He bought the robot to assist him and his family on household duties. Mr. Cauda discovered almost immediately, that the KT7900X's AI had been developed to an extremely jealous and loyal form. This meant that the robot only attached to one or very rarely two individuals - and would defend his or her loved ones fiercely in case it felt threatened by someone or something.

Mr. Cauda soon took notice of 102-BC's behaviour, but decided not to act upon it. Sometime later he did, however, acquire another household robot of a superior design. As 102-BC's violent and unresponsive behaviour increased, Mr. Cauda ordered the robot to shut itself down and move to the nearest Robot Recycling Center (RRC) for immediate disassembly. 102-BC did not comply with the order, and decided to murder the newer model, which had just arrived to Mr. Cauda's service. As Mr. Cauda discovered this, he attempted to shut down the homicidal robot himself, but 102-BC fled from the attempt. Before this unfortunate incident, 102-BC had also developed a condition closely mimicking alcoholism - in which the alcohol had been naturally replaced by oil used to lubricate the droid's joints.

As 102-BC fled from his old master, he found a new way of life: he drifted from one shady bar and drinking establishment to the other. He enjoyed parties and a generally wild and wet lifestyle while on the road. 102-BC also worked as a waiter while touring the free zone. During this period of 102-BC's life, people were beginning to call it by the name "Robo-Hobo" due to its unkept appearance and shoddy performance.

Later on, Robo-Hobo was captured by patrols belonging to the Marauder Dominancy after a night of terrible binge-drinking. Robo-Hobo was found from an escape pod floating in space, and it was thrown into the brig aboard one of the Marauder vessels. The robot sat in jail for several weeks, and awoke to find three humanoids inside the quarters as well: two Gigerdians and an enigmatic human mercenary. The three talked to Robo-Hobo for awhile, but were then quickly hauled away to meet the Marauder High Court for sentencing. Robo-Hobo was also convincted in the same court several hours later, and it was sentenced to be sold as a slave to the travelling space circus, the Circus Absurdus Galactica. Robo-Hobo met its fate later on that day when it was forced to fight a Manqulaar Lizard Toad completely unarmed for the entertainment of the circus' audience. As Robo-Hobo was ripped to shreds by the creature, it saw the terrorized faces of the two Gigerdians it had met earlier. The controversial life of robot 102-BC, alias "Robo-Hobo", had ended.
