Mining station A71

Mining station A71 was a Collector - class mining station located in the Adironak system. The station was built near a large asteroid field containing the newly found mineral ore, Dragonium. It was built and funded by the Gigerdi Confederation. The commanding officer of the station was major Perdal. Communications officers Haver and Derec served aboard the A71 also.

The Adironak system is a system located in the Texian-Gigerdian border and served as the site of the first contact between these two species; through a series of trade agreements a station was built in the area to retrieve the new mineral. Bordering the Adironak system is the Orman system.

When the station had been online for a few hours a large group of pirate vessels arrived to the station and hijacked it. The Gevu Gee pirate clan took the crew hostage and proceeded to loot the station of any valuable material while a distress call was sent to the Peace Station during it's second year of operation as an intergalactic diplomatic entity. Forces from the Gigerdi Confederation led by Kyle Gigerdi arrived to the station and destroyed the pirate vessels there. However the station had to be evacuated since the pirates had managed to place bombs in the station's reactor core thus destroying it completely.
