Peace Station Strategic Forces
Peace Station Strategic Forces (PSSTRATFOR) was a Gigerdian designation for all Gigerdi Federation forces located on the Peace Station.
Since the station was considered sizable enough, it was often regarded to include a Gigerdian military garrison and thus in strategic designations it was considered both a tactical and strategic asset for the nearby systems and sectors in which the Gigerdian forces stationed on the Peace Station were capable of operating at. Officially the station was never regarded as a battle station or the Gigerdian forces stationed there were never considered as an offensive force, but they were still regarded as strategic forces and thus were branded as such in Gigerdian military terminology.
The command of the Gigerdian strategic forces on the station was largely placed on the hands of the station commander and the Gigerdian ambassadors to some extent. After the formation of the Gigerdi Confederation this term still solely applied to the Gigerdi Federation forces on the station, since the confederal side never committed a mentionable contingent of forces on the station despite ambassadorial staff and minimal security personnel.
The headquarters of the Peace Station Strategic Forces were located on the station at the deck and area designated "M05 Gigerdian Section", which also housed the Gigerdi Federation's embassy on the station. The headquarters served as a liaison office between the station and the Gigerdi Federation's military headquarters, but was largely an administrative unit above anything else co-ordinating the transfer of Gigerdian military assets to and from the station along with equipment requests from Gigerdian supply depots and arms caches.
