Peace Station Combat Air Patrol

The Peace Station Combat Air Patrol was a combined effort by several star powers involved in the Peace Station Project to provide security around the Peace Station and to act as one of the stations' defence postures.

The concept of the patrol was to pair certain fighter or patrol craft from two species together and send them to patrol missions around the station or areas nearby. The patrols also often acted as early warning or scout patrols for the station itself. The patrol pair often had a designated route or pattern which they circled around and then returned back to the station for refueling and possible repairs. The counterpart for the combat air patrols on the station were the "strike patrols", which were often larger groups of fighters combined together as escorts for transports leaving the station or as a strike element against raiders.

During the first few years of the stations lifespan the patrols were often carried out as the original planning had designated: two patrol craft from two different species. However during the Timocracy war at times it was harder for the Gigerdian sides to come up with craft for the patrols and thus at one point it war largely handled by Hemmoian craft. After the end of the war the Peace Station's patrols were almost single-handedly moved to Gigerdian sectors of responsibilities and thus remained so until the fifth and last year of operations.

The PSCAP had launch facilities on both sides of the station, located on Docking Wing decks D15 and D25.
