Texian Water Pipe

A Texian Water Pipe (Texian: Yq'Cw'Ern') is a multi-stemmed, often glass-based, water pipe device for smoking. The Water Pipe operates by water-filtration and indirect heat. It can be used for smoking many substances, but the traditional way is to only smoke tobacco molasses dried from the Texian Rock Flowers.

The pipe is very well known around the galaxy, and specially orientated bars where smoking the pipe is allowed exist. During the Peace Station's second year of operation, many members of the Texian diplomatic staff that arrived to the station took their pipes with them. Public use of the pipes in the ambassadorial quarters of the station caused some complaints from the other representatives. The sanitation department had to issue specifically designated "pipe smoking areas" to some corners of the station due to the amount of smokes and intoxicating fumes produced by the pipes. The main ambassadorial staff agreed with this rule, but some Texians felt that their privacy had been invaded by the order - and thus moved themselves along with their smoking to the lower decks of the station.
